We are always looking for volunteers who have the following qualities.

- Ability to represent your partner in meetings or to the relevant person.
- Use initiative
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Common sense
Character
- Reliable, trustworthy and honest
- Self confident
Advocate Rights
- To visit your partner
- To take up issues on your partners behalf
- To ask questions
- To attend any relevant meetings concerning your partner
- To be involved in consultations regarding your partner’s future
- To be supported by SPAC
Advocate responsibilities
- To seek the views of your partner and represent those views.
- To put your partner’s interests first.
- To respect your partner’s feelings and privacy
- To improve your partner’s lifestyle
- To question restrictive or negative attitudes
We are looking for volunteers who believe in the dignity of older people and respect their rights and views regardless of their levels of disability or achievement.
